John - what hotel did you book. I tried the one that everyone is in and was told they were fully booked. This was over a week ago.
It was the premier inn Birkenhead centre which I'm sure is the same as everyone else. Just booked it yesterday. I had to book a double room as that was the only option.
How on earth did you manage to book - I am having a totally frustrating time. the website says they are fully booked and I can't get through to the hotel!
I just went on their website & got through to pay now, still must be rooms available.
