Club members will show those photographic images that have inspired them and tell us why

Bogdan - The laptop will be set up and I think a CD or pen-drive with PDI resolution images (or about that) will do for presenting. It needs to be projectable really, so that we can all see them. A few people are showing some stuff and I guess 10 minutes or so will be fine. I'm going to show a few and I've just done a slide show (some people might even call it an A.V. - but not me) and it lasts about 6 minutes. Does this help?

Do we have a plan how should this be presented? For example, can it be like a small presentation of our inspirational photographers with examples of their pictures. Are we limited with time for it, are there many members interested in presenting and what do we use as a source of the pictures, I meant CDs, pendrives? I'm interested in presenting some of my inspirations... Who else is?
Sorry, I missed couple of club nights and possibly missed the talk about it as well? BG
We can of course also bring prints if you have them. Rod
On the 9th of February we have an evening entitled ‘The Inspirational Image’. What we are looking for is club members to spend 5 to 10 minutes showing us a few of the images that have inspired their interest in photography, or which have simply connected with them on some level. I am not talking about your own or other club member’s pictures, but those which you have seen elsewhere. You will probably need to find these in books or on line and photograph them for your presentation. Quality might not be great, but it will give you an opportunity to tell us a little bit about how these images have influenced you and give other members an insight into photography beyond the Club. I have a few committee members signed up to take part but would like some more of you to get involved. If you would like to take part please let me know in advance at simon.photo@tiscali.co.uk.
At the moment we have 8 members intending to take part (including you Bogdan), so if we average around 10 minutes each, this should work out about right. How the images you wish to show are presented is up to the individual, although a projected image would make it easier for members at the back to see.
Projected images are never better than prints!
Thank you very much for quick answer, I was thinking about PDI indeed (bearing in mind that prints would be better), my idea was to present some influential (for me) Polish photographers. 8 members gives us the idea about the amount of time allowed for each presenter. Personally I'm really looking forward to the night (not my presentation, but yours!), and I think it's the brilliant idea to share your inspiration and give the clue where we are coming from with our styles and pictures... or at least where we would like to come from with our pictures as in my case:)

That's only because you sit at the front!!
Cart before the horse Mick - that's WHY I sit at the front (and why I like being the Print Comp. Sec.)
however, PDI is obviously better for pictures off the net or out of books.
A great evening - I particularly enjoyed the images of the construction of the Empire State Building.
I thought it was a great night. Bogdan did a particularly good slot and I also enjoyed the Health & Safety training film from the Empire State Building.
Great night. I think it was a great idea Simon! And variety of presented pictures and subjects was the strong point overall and it's promising in terms of trying that kind of night again. I have certainly learnt something. Thanks!
