I find that a sense of absence in a picture can be more powerful than a scene that's populated with people leading busy lives. The buildings have a brooding presence, the windows are fearsomely blank and the empty street ....the echo of footfall...the sound of silence....a space that is not your own. Don't you find yourself standing in the middle of the road, crossing without looking.....and having the overwhelming need to speak to those two coming around the corner...having to explain why you're spinning around taking panorama shots with your phone. It's an alien world out there....
I'm enjoying these but this one needs a haywain and horse.

More likely to be a high-wail and a hearse....
